The Dog People

help us help finn!

Meet Finn, our newest member of CT Animal House. Poor Finn was found by Animal Control in an isolated Industrial Park. He was very thin, had double ear infections, and multiple ulcerating tumors on his body. This poor boy was so sad and feeling absolutely horrible! Thanks to one of our good rescue friends, we connected with the Animal Control officer to offer assistance. Boy, has it been quite the whirlwind! Finn had multiple ulcerating tumors removed and tested. Sadly, it was determined that Finn has Cutaneous Lymphoma. We were devastated, but determined to see if we could help this sweet boy. Finn had an Oncology appt with a very well respected Oncology Vet, and she feels with the correct Chemo, Finn has a good chance at remission. We know this will not be a cure, but Finn deserves a chance at happiness and love for the remainder of his life. We at CTAH are so excited to be partnering with our friends from Handsome Dan’s Rescue, and Karen Kalunian’s Animal Talk radio program. We will all be fundraising for treatment for Finn, as well as promoting the search for an appropriate forever foster home, full of love, care, and lots of doggie adventures. All expenses for the foster home will be paid for by CT Animal House. You supply the love and care, and we will take care of the rest. Finn is an intact senior that would do best in a home where he can be the center of attention, but a knowledgeable home where he can have his own space will definitely be considered. Please spread the word about Finn. Foster applications may be found below. Questions may be emailed to

Go team Finn!!

Help Wanted

CT Animal House is a volunteer, foster based rescue. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. We do not have a facility therefore we rely solely on fosters and volunteers to operate.

Without fosters, we wouldn't have a place for the dogs in need to go. Fostering saves lives and all you have to do is open up your home and heart to a dog in need, we take care of the rest.

Looking to fill immediate volunteer positions in administrative, adoption support, fundraising, marketing. All are welcome!
